Frequently asked questions

Police oral-board and assessment practice, explained.

Understand how the interview works, what the coaching evaluates, which information stays local, and where agency-specific preparation still matters.

What if I am dissatisfied or forget to cancel?

If you are dissatisfied with your first purchase, email support@enterprepared.com within 30 days of purchase for a full refund, even if you have used questions or coaching. Available once per person on either package. Renewals and subsequent purchases do not restart the guarantee. No explanation or feedback survey is required. For a monthly renewal, request a full courtesy refund within seven days of the charge if you have not used any of the new billing period's allowance. Refunding a package ends the access provided by that payment and cancels its associated automatic renewal. Canceling renewal without a refund preserves access through the paid period. Billing mistakes and technical failures are handled separately, including outside these windows; the one-time satisfaction guarantee does not limit corrections for our errors or your rights under applicable law.

What do the interview packages cost?

$49 Monthly Sprint includes 60 scored questions and 120 coaching minutes per paid monthly billing period. It renews automatically until canceled. The $119 90-Day Preparation package includes 150 scored questions and 240 coaching minutes total for 90 days, with no renewal. See Packages & pricing for current checkout availability and the included rooms.

How do I cancel monthly renewal?

Sign in to your account and choose Cancel monthly renewal. Your remaining allowance stays available until its paid expiration. Cancellation stops future renewals and does not automatically refund the current period. The 90-day package expires without any cancellation action.

When do coaching minutes start?

After your written report appears, choose Start voice coaching. Time counts while that coaching connection is open, including pauses. End coaching to save unused time. The formal interview and report processing do not use coaching minutes.

What is a police oral board?

An oral board is a structured panel interview used in many police hiring, specialty-assignment, and promotional processes. Candidates respond to the same or equivalent job-related questions so assessors can record observable evidence against defined competencies.

What is a police assessment center?

A police assessment center uses multiple exercises to evaluate performance across formats. Depending on the agency and rank, it may include a structured interview, inbox or in-basket, personnel meeting, critical incident, written product, presentation, command briefing, case prioritization, or other job simulation.

How do practice interviews and voice coaching work?

A natural-sounding, AI-generated voice delivers a standardized question, listens to your response, and moves through the board without unequal follow-up questions. AI-assisted coaching begins after the board and reviews completeness, structure, supporting evidence, judgment, and delivery.

Is this an official agency preparation product?

No. It is independent, unofficial coaching based on public job functions and original fictional material.

Does the oral board ask follow-up questions?

No. The formal board uses a fixed sequence of one to six questions and does not interrupt with substantive follow-ups. Interactive coaching begins only after the selected questions are complete.

Where are my drafts and reports saved?

Completed oral-board progress summaries and reduced written coaching reports are saved to the private candidate account so they can be viewed on another device after sign-in. Account copies do not include answer audio or full transcripts. This browser may also store fuller oral-board reports containing transcripts, assessment-center drafts and reports, interview history and rotation progress, preparation plans, feedback backups, and your participant ID. Those browser-local copies do not automatically follow you to another device. Microphone audio is transmitted for live interaction, transcription, and evaluation, but answer audio is not saved in the candidate account or browser history by Enter Prepared.

Can I discuss a real case or protected interview questions?

No. Leave out names, identifying facts, active cases, confidential material, nonpublic tactics, and protected interview content.

Is the readiness score an official score?

No. It is a coaching signal for comparing your own practice. It is not calibrated to a specific agency and does not predict selection.

Why do I need microphone and speaker checks?

The live board depends on both. The preflight catches common permission and output-device problems before your selected session begins.

Can Enter Prepared know my department's policies or scoring system?

Not unless authorized public material has been reviewed, and even then current agency instructions always control. Candidates receive a framework for studying local policy, SOPs, labor agreements, case law, unit standards, and process instructions separately.

Which roles can I prepare for?

Paid packages include entry-level police and firefighter interviews, lateral police interviews, and law-enforcement promotional and specialty interviews, including Detective, Sergeant, Lieutenant, SWAT, Narcotics/Vice, Traffic, Behavioral Health Co-Responder, and instructor roles. The role directory and package page list the available rooms. Firefighter pages are currently a public preview: new firefighter purchases are not activated yet, and existing authorized access is unchanged.

Does Enter Prepared provide real agency interview questions?

No. The question banks are original and based on public job functions and broadly applicable professional standards. Users must not submit protected interview questions or assessor material.
